Excursion to Burano departing from our hotel

Discover the authentic charm of the Venetian lagoon islands with our exclusive excursion to Burano.
From the hotel’s private pier you will board a private water taxi that will take you on a scenic ride across the lagoon to the picturesque island of Burano, famous for its brightly coloured houses, its centuries‑old lace‑making tradition and its unique atmosphere.

You will arrive in Burano at around 11:00 am and have about four hours to explore the island at your leisure, capture photos of its iconic façades, enjoy a traditional lunch and be enchanted by the ancient art of lace.
If you wish, you can cross the footbridge linking Burano to the tranquil island of Mazzorbo, among vineyards, gardens and sweeping lagoon views.

🧵 LACE MUSEUM
The Lace Museum, opened in 1981, is housed in the historic premises of the Burano Lace School, founded in 1872 by Countess Andriana Marcello to revive and promote a centuries‑old tradition.

The exhibition route, through its archives and over two hundred rare and precious pieces, documents the evolution of Venetian lace‑making from the 16th to the 20th century.
👉 In the mornings, you can watch live demonstrations by skilled lace‑makers.
