Many of you have asked whether we’ll be able to see the fireworks from there – and the answer is a resounding YES!
While seeing the fireworks up close is certainly a stunning spectacle, viewing them from a distance has its own unique charm. From afar, the vibrant colours explode in the sky and reflect off the surrounding buildings. The entire skyline will be illuminated in a dazzling array of lights, creating a panoramic view that is truly unforgettable.
Our terrace will be adorned with the iconic Venetian lanterns and coloured light bulbs, creating a magical ambiance perfect for this festive occasion.
The fireworks will be the cherry on top of an evening filled with delicious food, flowing Prosecco, and good company.
THE FOOD: Our talented chef Najada Frasheri has created a special menu just for the Redentore Feast, and it’s out of this world. 🤩
With dishes inspired by traditional Venetian cuisine, but with her own innovative twist, this is a culinary experience you won’t soon forget. Every bite will be a flavour explosion.

A brief digression on the meaning of this Venetian pyrotechnical festival event.
WHY: The Redentore Festival (The Redeemer Festival) was celebrated for the first time in 1577 to celebrate the end of the plague that wiped out 25% of the population in the previous two years. To commemorate the event, the greatest Renaissance architect Palladio built the splendid church of the Redentore, on the island of Giudecca. Since then, a crowd of people visit the church crossing a special floating bridge only built for the occasion.
WHEN: The day of the Redeemer is celebrated every third Sunday of July. In the past, this day was looked forward to with so much anticipation and preceded by so many preparations that, over the years, people began to celebrate it from the previous Saturday, they spent the night on boats in front of the Giudecca island or along the banks, to find the best place for the ceremonies of the following day.
HOW: Fireworks always accompany the Redentore Festival . At 11:30 pm the show starts in the San Marco Basin. The fires fly, shine and illuminate the night sky, while the water reflects them upside down increasing the charm. The terraces and the “altane” light up with colored balloons while the thin veins of the canals and the streets are crowded with boats and people.
Let’s explore the delightful Venetian dishes crafted by our cheffe Najada Frasheri and that you’ll love during this special night.
The Venice’s culinary tradition is rich and unique, shaped by its geography and historical trade connections.
Najada skillfully incorporates local ingredients into her creations, celebrating the essence of Venice. She sources fresh seafood from the lagoon, fragrant vegetables from Sant’Erasmo island, artisanal pasta from local producers. These authentic flavors infuse her dishes, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
